Educators engage in professional learning.

Professional learning is important for teachers in so many ways. All through this program, we have been told that learning does not end when we finish the b.ed Program. This is obvious to me now as I can see that vast amount of learning that still needs to take place for me to have my own classroom. I feel that this will be one of those things that come with time. Learning to me is a gradual progression. One layer of information supports another, gradually leading to a broader understanding. Although I feel I have a good understanding of classroom management and routines I am more very conscious of the fact that I have so much to learn still. I believe that this program is designed to give me the knowledge that I will need to take that step into the classroom, however, I will still need to work hard to make things happen for myself and my students in the future.

In the future, I plan on going back and re-reading some sections of the texts we read in this program. I am a strong believer that texts and information can be interpreted in different ways depending on the experience of the reader. I would be curious to see how my interpretations of our course materials will change over time. I am also excited to learn more in conferences and from my colleagues over the next few years. I have met so many knowledgeable educators over my time in the program and I am excited to engage with/ learn from them going forward.
